Working Together
Whether this an amicable situation or not, we work closely with both of you and your attorney(s) to make this process as smooth as possible.
Filing Status
There are two filing options allowed on your form 1040, Married filing jointly or Married filing separately. We calculate your tax return both ways, create a report, which is shared with legal counsel. Then we file based off your decision.
Signature Process
We want to make filing as easy as possible for the both of you. Signing Form 8879 can take place together in our office, separate appointments will be available, or signatures can be handled with the attorney(s).
